Imarhan

On April 25, 2026 at the Temps Machine in Joué-lès-Tours, Imarhan presents a set where tichumaren intersects with Saharan rock, pop and funk. Formed in Tamanrasset, the Tuareg band sings in Tamasheq and composes with electric guitars, backing vocals and rhythms inspired as much by local celebrations as by urban music. On stage, repetitive guitar motifs meet supple bass lines and mid-tempo grooves close to soul, underpinning lyrics rooted in everyday life and the social transformations of the Sahara.

Since their debut album in 2016, their trajectory has refined itself between Temet (2018), more marked by a rock impulse and collective arrangements, and Aboogi (2022), recorded in their own studio in Tamanrasset with a more acoustic, intimate approach. With tours across North Africa, Europe and North America and collaborations within the contemporary Saharan scene, Imarhan connects regional traditions with a current electric sound, driven by a strong group dynamic.
