DEVO brings Mutate Don’t Stagnate to The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Windsor on June 6, 2026. Formed in Akron, Ohio by Mark Mothersbaugh, Gerald Casale, Bob Mothersbaugh and Bob Casale, the group built its identity around the idea of de‑evolution and a sharp, conceptual take on pop culture. Between clipped vocals, jagged guitars, rigid rhythms and analog synth lines, DEVO shaped a hybrid of new wave and art rock that turned repetition into a hook and satire into a song.

From the Brian Eno–produced debut Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! to Duty Now for the Future, Freedom of Choice and New Traditionalists, the band refined a lean, mechanized pop language, with Whip It pushing them into wider circulation. Their stage craft is just as coded: industrial uniforms, color‑blocked energy domes, synchronized moves and visuals that play like short films. The 2010 album Something for Everybody folded more contemporary electronics into that matrix without losing the core blueprint. On stage, riffs, synths and slogans snap into tight grooves, with the band’s precise, off‑kilter pulse front and center.
