Info
Formed in Denver in the early 2000s, The Fray bring their piano-driven alternative rock to the Summer of Light Tour. Built around singer and pianist Isaac Slade with guitarist Joe King, the band shaped a sound of spare guitars, close harmonies and lyrics about relationships and faith, balancing pop rock with melodic ballads. How to Save a Life (2005) carried them beyond their local scene with Over My Head (Cable Car) and the title track, widely heard through US TV series. The self-titled album in 2009, then Scars & Stories (2012) and Helios (2014), folded in pop influences and airy textures. A 2016 best-of sketched a first chapter before a slowdown and side projects for the members. On stage, they lean on piano hooks, tight vocal blends and a catalogue that spans early singles and later cuts.
The Fray play MTELUS, 59 Rue Sainte-Catherine Est, Montréal, on May 14, 2026.
