Info
Six years after LP5 — a Grammy-nominated album — Apparat returns to Paris on October 9, 2026, at the Élysée Montmartre. Under this moniker, Sascha Ring, the Berlin-based producer, composer and performer, presents A Hum Of Maybe, co-written with his long-time collaborator Philipp Johann Thimm. On the program: modular textures, finely wrought electronics, meticulous rhythms and a voice treated as a living material. “Maybe” is not hesitation but a space where something can still grow, he summarizes.
Since the late 1990s, Apparat has traced a distinctive line between IDM, ambient, techno and experimental pop, from his early releases on Shitkatapult to LP5. As a solo artist, as part of a duo and within Moderat, he has shifted his sound from the club toward melody, nourished by live performance and music for the screen. His signature has also appeared on screens, notably with the soundtrack to the series Dark, and on the stages of major festivals such as Sónar and Primavera Sound. On stage he combines electronic precision with organic tension to unfold this new repertoire with his live band at the Élysée Montmartre.
