Hervé Vilard

Hervé Vilard, a leading figure of French chanson, returns to the stage on April 26, 2026 at the Zinga Zanga in Béziers. Discovered in the mid-1960s, he made his mark with "Capri c’est fini" (1965) and developed a repertoire where romantic ballads and popular refrains intersect. Among the songs are "Nous", "Venise pour l’éternité", "Reviens" and "Méditerranéenne"—titles that have accompanied several generations without losing their shine.

Over the decades, he has refined an interpretation centered on voice and storytelling, collaborated with writers and arrangers from the francophone scene, and exported his songs in Spanish-language versions, notably in Latin America. On stage, there is no flashiness: a direct presence, a taste for sharing, and arrangements that serve the melody. In Béziers, it will be an opportunity to traverse his musical history, from his early yé-yé impulses to more heavily orchestrated songs, amid confidences, memories and collective energy.
