Protoje

On 28 March 2026, Protoje stops by Den Atelier in Luxembourg. A leading figure of contemporary reggae and a pillar of the Reggae Revival movement, the Jamaican (Oje Ken Ollivierre) has made his mark with songs that have circulated far beyond the island: Who Knows, Rasta Love, Kingston Be Wise, Switch It Up, and Really Like You. His sound blends roots codes with touches of hip‑hop, soul, R&B, trap, dub and occasionally rock — a palette he explores as much in the studio as on stage.

Founder of the collective The In.Digg.Nation, Protoje has supported the rise of a new Jamaican generation, from Chronixx to Lila Iké and Sevana. On record he constructed a trilogy around time and its effects — A Matter of Time, In Search of Lost Time, Third Time’s the Charm — balancing introspection, social commentary and fatherhood. With In Search of Zion, made with Zion I Kings, he revisits his tracks in a more roots- and dub-oriented vein. A regular on major international stages, he is preparing The Jamaican Situation, a project at the crossroads of cinema and music, ahead of a new album expected in 2026. At Den Atelier, he will be presented close to that trajectory, between classics and new directions.
