Matt Elliott

Renowned for his deeply felt compositions, Matt Elliott has been weaving a singular body of work for more than twenty years, situated between folk, chanson and echoes from the Balkans. Emerging from the Bristol scene, he first worked under the name The Third Eye Foundation, exploring a dark, fragmented electronic vein before moving toward a more acoustic format in which the guitar drives the narrative and his low, resonant voice asserts itself. His songs stretch out, progressing through motifs and subtle shades, and play on dynamics between restrained softness and lucid melancholy. As a solo artist he sometimes revisits his electronic repertoire in stripped-down versions that enter into dialogue with his more recent pieces. On April 2, 2026, at La Cave Argenteuil, he will present an intimate set built around his guitars, controlled silences and a progression that favors tension over emphasis.
