Info
Scottish singer‑songwriter Lewis Capaldi plays Centre Bell in Montréal on 21 April 2026. Born in Whitburn in 1996, he came up through Scotland’s local scene and early online releases before Bruises in 2017 and the Bloom EP put his voice‑and‑piano pop in the spotlight. Since then, he has moved between stark piano ballads and broader pop arrangements, with a raspy tone, direct melodies and lyrics that face heartbreak, loss and vulnerability head on. The Breach EP led to his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (2019), home to Someone You Loved, followed in 2023 by Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent as he adjusted his touring pace for health reasons. On stage, he draws from this catalogue, switching between intimate moments and mid‑tempo songs.
Also on the bill, Joy Crookes brings a London blend of soul, R&B and pop with touches of jazz, shaped by Bangladeshi and Irish roots. After early buzz with the EPs Influence (2017), Reminiscence and Perception (2019), she honed arrangements that lean on contemporary soul, hip‑hop‑tinged rhythms, brass and strings. Her first album, Skin (2021), explores identity, family, life in London and relationships, placing her in the new wave of British singer‑songwriters.
