Live brings the Like A Rollin’ Thunder Tour to Place Bell in Laval on March 10, 2026. Formed in York, Pennsylvania, the band grew around singer-guitarist Ed Kowalczyk with Chad Taylor, Patrick Dahlheimer and Chad Gracey, affirming a guitar-led alternative rock sound with introspective, sometimes spiritual lyrics. From Mental Jewelry to Throwing Copper, Secret Samadhi and The Distance to Here, their catalog spans the 90s and beyond, marked by direct melodies and tight dynamics, with Kowalczyk’s return fueling recent tours and renewed momentum.
Big Wreck, led by Canadian singer-guitarist Ian Thornley, blends hard rock muscle with progressive shifts and blues undertones. First noticed with In Loving Memory Of… and The Pleasure and the Greed, the band came back strong in the 2010s with Albatross, Ghosts and Grace Street, then ...But For the Sun and the 7.x EPs, refining layered guitars, elastic song structures and melodic hooks made for the stage.
From Montreal, The Damn Truth taps into a 70s-rooted vein: bluesy riffs, psych accents and a raw, soulful voice from Lee-La Baum, alongside Tom Shemer, PY Letellier and Dave Traina. After Dear in the Headlights, Devilish Folk and Now or Nowhere, the quartet shifts between slow burns and heavier cuts, keeping arrangements sharp and straightforward at Place Bell.
