Info
Lauren Spencer Smith brings The Art of Being a Mess Tour to Toronto on February 27, 2026, at History, 1663 Queen Street East. The British-Canadian singer and songwriter first found an audience with intimate covers before stepping into her own voice, blending pop, hints of soul and piano-led ballads. A Top 20 run on American Idol in 2020 widened her reach, followed by tracks like Fingers Crossed, Flowers and Narcissist, later gathered on her 2023 album Mirror. On stage, she goes straight to the point with lyrics about breakups, self-doubt and growing up, keeping the melody upfront and the arrangements pared back.
Also on the bill is Sadie Jean, an American singer-songwriter shaping delicate pop for piano and guitar. Breaking through with WYD Now? and its open-verse wave, then confirming the path with Locksmith, she leans on minimal production and a narrative style that keeps the focus on the voice and the song.
This show is all ages. For each ticket, $1 will be directed by Live Nation via PLUS1 to the Lauren Spencer Smith Fund, supporting organizations that help young people facing housing insecurity, hunger and addiction.
