Carlos Vives - Tour Al Sol

On April 19, 2026, Tour Al Sol brings Carlos Vives to Place Bell in Laval. Born in Santa Marta on Colombia’s Caribbean coast, Vives first made his name as a telenovela actor in Bogotá before steering into Spanish-language pop rock. After early romantic pop albums, a turn toward traditional repertoire with the TV series Escalona (1991–1992) set the stage for a new path. With Clásicos de la provincia (1993) and La tierra del olvido (1995), he shaped a personal take on vallenato, weaving acoustic instruments, Caribbean rhythms, cumbia, rock and pop, and taking his music across Latin America and the United States.
