On April 2, 2026 at Massey Hall in Toronto, Hayley Williams steps away from Paramore to dive into the more intimate side of her songwriting. Raised in Tennessee after a Mississippi start, she first broke through in the mid‑2000s with Paramore across emo, pop punk and pop rock. Since the late 2010s, her solo work has leaned toward alternative pop, indie rock and discreet electronics: the Petals for Armor releases (2020) put her voice and lyrics at the center, followed by the stripped‑down Flowers for Vases / Descansos (2021). Still closely linked to Paramore, she’s also ventured into hip‑hop and electro‑pop through collaborations with artists like B.o.B and Zedd. Her solo songs favor tight forms, nuanced melodies and a personal, direct tone.
Water From Your Eyes is the duo of Nate Amos and Rachel Brown, formed in Chicago and based in Brooklyn. Their music sits between experimental pop, indie rock, post‑punk and slowed dance, built on repetition, collage and the tension between abrasive guitars, mechanical rhythms and a calm vocal delivery. After early lo‑fi releases and albums like Long Days, No Dreams (2017), All a Dance (2018), Somebody Else’s Song (2019) and the stretched forms of 33:44 (2020), they refined a minimalist, stop‑start language with Structure (2021, Wharf Cat). Everyone’s Crushed (2023, Matador) carried that approach further across the independent circuit, balancing pop hooks, sonic experiments and a dry sense of humor.
