Info

On January 25, 2026, River Tiber plays The Great Hall, 1087 Queen Street West, M6J 1H3, Toronto, Canada. Behind the moniker is Tommy Paxton-Beesley, a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who blends R&B, pop and detailed electronics into intimate songs. He first emerged with the EPs The Star Falls (2013) and When the Time Is Right (2015) — whose track No Talk was sampled by Boi-1da for Drake’s No Tellin — before releasing his debut album Indigo in 2016 and the follow-up Dreaming Eyes in 2022.

River Tiber moves easily between his own records and collaborations. He’s worked with BADBADNOTGOOD, Kaytranada and Jazz Cartier, and his writing and textures echo through modern rap and R&B: Kendrick Lamar’s Savior samples Hypnotized, while SZA’s Broken Clocks, Travis Scott’s AstroThunder and James Blake’s I Keep Calling also draw from his music. Lately, he appears on Kaytranada’s Hold On from Timeless, gets a sample flip on Smiley’s Spill the Tea, and surfaces on Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s Small Town Fame. His recent EP Tell Her with Justin Nozuka follows a run of 2025 headline debuts across US cities and London, capped by an NPR Tiny Desk dropped on August 5.
