Dany Boon returns to the stage with Clown Isn’t a Profession, an entirely new one-man show. As a comedian and actor, he picks up the microphone again after seven years away from the boards and refocuses on what has driven him from the start: observing, storytelling and turning everyday life into material for performance. Between confidences and situations drawn from daily life, he delivers a stand-up that explores modern contradictions, awkward moments, misunderstandings and the pleasure of rubbing up against everyone’s little foibles. No showmanship—just the writing, the rhythm and the presence of an artist who enjoys moving between characters, digressions and memories, with a knowing nod to childhood and that original urge to make people laugh.
