Thaïs « Fille de joie »

Info

On March 27, 2026 at the Théâtre du Gymnase - Marie Bell in Paris, Thaïs presents Fille de joie, a one-woman show drawn from her family stories and her very concrete anxieties. Rather than lying down on the therapist’s couch, the comedian turns the ritual of family gatherings — the kind that hits where it hurts — into material for storytelling. You’ll meet a vegan cousin, a father in the midst of a revelation, a very open mother and an uncle who kills the mood as soon as he speaks. Between impulse phobias and a string of allergies — respiratory, food-related and social — she unfolds an unfiltered portrait of life in her thirties and the labels we attach to ourselves, red hair included, with angioedema and eczema lying in wait.

Thaïs Vauquières co-wrote the piece with Stéphane Casez and Paul Brinio, and entrusted the staging to Stéphane Casez. Fille de joie is her way of holding on amid the great celebration of everyday life, pulling on an intimate thread in which we recognize our relatives, our quirks and those secrets that surface at the table. An evening where close observation and an eye for detail do the work, presented straight from real life.
