Thaïs « Fille de joie »

Info

Thaïs turns her obsessions and family stories into very personal stage material. On March 20, 2026, at the Théâtre du Gymnase - Marie Bell in Paris, she presents Fille de joie, a tale told from around the table where you find yourself stuck between a vegan cousin, a father in the midst of a revelation, a very open mother and secrets that drop at the worst possible moment. She talks about singledom, the intermittent nature of her work, a red mane that always gets noticed, itchy skin, angioedema attacks that arrive without warning, food, respiratory and — above all — social allergies, and those thoughts that cross your mind when the evening drags on.

With an eye for detail and a dry self-deprecating humor, Thaïs unfolds a gallery of familiar characters, recounts the pressures placed on thirty-somethings and the art of holding on during life’s big celebration. The text is co-written with Stéphane Casez and Paul Brinio and directed by Stéphane Casez. On stage she alternates blunt confessions, ruptures and character portrayals, unfiltered, offering an intimate and direct journey through small family slip‑ups that reveal a great deal.
