On 25 November 2026 at the Arkea Arena in Floirac, David Hallyday presents Requiem pour un fou, a concert conceived as a dialogue with Johnny Hallyday’s body of work. On stage, he forges connections between his own songs and his father’s iconic tracks, offering a personal, musical and restrained reading of this family story. A songwriter, composer and musician, David notably wrote much of Sang pour Sang, the album that marked their rapprochement. Here he picks up the thread—between transmission and creation—without heavy-handed nostalgia.

The set highlights contemporary arrangements, with guitars and keyboards to the fore, bringing out melodic tension and the energy of the live performance. His father’s classics converse with his own pieces, without imitation or pastiche, in a natural continuity. The intention is not to replay a legend but to confront it and make it resonate today, through David Hallyday’s voice and artistic choices.
