Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts

Neil Young arrives in Nancy with The Chrome Hearts, his current band. A Canadian singer-songwriter, guitarist and harmonica player, he has forged a repertoire that moves between folk, rock and country, both as a solo artist and as a member of Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. On stage you’ll find his distinctive voice, guitars that shift from acoustic to distorted, and that sense of melody that spans the decades. On the bill are songs that have accompanied his concerts — from “Heart of Gold” and “Old Man” to “After the Gold Rush,” “Cinnamon Girl,” “Powderfinger” and “Rockin’ in the Free World” — mixed with more recent material.

The Chrome Hearts tighten the sound around a solid rhythm section, organ and taut, edgy guitars, delivering a set that alternates ballads and electric surges without losing focus.
