Info
On 3 December 2026 at the Forum Vauréal, The Stranglers return with a repertoire that spans their six decades of existence. Formed in 1974, the band initially dabbled in the punk surge while carving out a distinctive sound—tense, melodic and driven by prominent keyboards. Over a 13-month period in the late 1970s they released Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes and Black and White, from which tracks like Peaches, No More Heroes and Walk On By emerged. They would go on to release Always The Sun, Strange Little Girl and Golden Brown, milestones in a discography that has often charted in the UK, with 24 singles and 20 albums reaching the Top 40.
After Dark Matters in 2021, their highest-charting album since Feline, 2024 marked their 50th anniversary with tours, a performance at the Royal Albert Hall and a live album, Fifty Years In Black, which itself entered the Top 40. On stage, Jean-Jacques Burnel and Baz Warne lead the band, collaborating on bass, guitar and vocals, accompanied by Jim Macaulay on drums and Toby Hounsham on keyboards. The program includes classics, lesser-played gems and enough material to cover their entire history.
