Cœur de Pirate will be at the 6MIC in Aix-en-Provence on December 11, 2026. For more than fifteen years, Béatrice Martin, also known as Cœur de Pirate, has been writing French-language pop that alternates between piano ballads and more rhythmic tracks. Her clear voice carries personal lyrics, written with careful attention to nuance. A songwriter, composer and performer, she shapes her songs with the same care, from stripped-back piano arrangements to bursts that flirt with disco.
Across several albums and through concerts in Quebec, France and the United States, her repertoire has become more refined and open to collaborations. Since 2021, Béatrice Martin has also been president and artistic director of the label Bravo Musique, a role that informs her approach to production and arrangements. In concert, this balance between intimacy and rhythm is evident, marked by an attention to detail.
