The Stranglers

Formed in 1974, The Stranglers made their mark on the punk wave with a direct attitude and a sound forged around bass and keyboards. Very quickly, their songwriting transcended the label of the moment and asserted a distinct identity. Between 1977 and 1978, their first three albums — Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes and Black and White — were released within 13 months and established milestones: “Peaches,” “No More Heroes,” “Walk On By.” What followed added other touchstones with “Always the Sun,” “Strange Little Girl” and “Golden Brown.” On the record, 24 singles and 20 Top 40 albums, for a career that spans six decades.

On 26 November 2026 at Le Bikini Ramonville St Agne, The Stranglers will revisit a catalogue that covers their entire history, from abrasive beginnings to more melodic numbers. Bass pushed to the fore, incisive keyboards and choruses honed by years on the road provide the framework for a concert that balances punk energy with a sense of melody. It’s an opportunity to run through a repertoire shaped over time, live, by a British band that has managed to evolve its formula without losing its fundamentals.
