The Stranglers

The Stranglers formed in 1974 and quickly made their mark on the punk wave, while distancing themselves through their musicality and a dark tension that is uniquely theirs. Bass-forward lines, incisive keyboards and deep, resonant vocals shape a clear, unpretentious sound. In barely thirteen months they released Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes and Black and White, a foundational triptych that produced "Peaches," "No More Heroes" and their cover of "Walk On By." What followed opened up new horizons with "Always the Sun," "Strange Little Girl" and "Golden Brown," and a career that includes 24 Top 40 singles and 20 charting albums across six decades of activity.

On 1 December 2026 at L'Espace Crouzy Boisseuil, The Stranglers return with a set that spans the eras, from their tense early days to their more melodic pieces. Full-bodied bass, cutting keyboards and spare arrangements equally serve the well-known hits and the less-expected cuts. An evening centered on their direct songwriting and the sense of rhythm that has left a lasting imprint on their discography.
