A few days after a concert at the Salle Pleyel, Mac DeMarco announced a series of dates in France for September 2026. The Canadian songwriter will perform the album "Guitar" live on stage — a minimalist folk record released on August 22, 2025. Mac DeMarco will play La Carrière in Saint-Herblain on September 10, 2026. "Guitar" was entirely written and recorded in November 2024 at his home in Los Angeles. Except for the mastering by David Ives, he handled every aspect of the album himself, from recording to mixing (which was done in Canada), as well as the videos and the cover art, all produced independently. He describes "Guitar" as a faithful representation of his current situation.
