Lebanon Hanover draws a cold, sensitive line through the turmoil. Behind the duo, Larissa Iceglass and William Maybelline—clear‑eyed romantics—feed their world with Wordsworthian poetry, Art Nouveau curves, nocturnal excursions along Britain’s coasts and forests, and a fascination with Berlin’s urban landscape. Their music condenses the fragility of French cold wave, hints of gothic rock, and the austerity of minimal wave. Synthetic textures, a haunting bassline, detached vocals: a language where emotion, distance, nostalgia, love and melancholy meet. They will be joined by Clan of Xymox at Artefact La Laiterie in Strasbourg on 5 December 2026.
Formed in Amsterdam in 1984, Clan of Xymox established itself early on at 4AD, helping to shape a dark wave with electro and batcave inflections that left a lasting mark on the scene. The band continues its path with their eighteenth album, Exodus, released in 2024, which extends their taste for dark, sweeping synth layers, shadowy guitars and hypnotic atmospheres. Between legacy and reinvention, their set spans four decades of cold wave and dancing shadows.
