Pierre-Emmanuel Barré « Come-Back »

Info

Pierre-Emmanuel Barré arrives at Metz Congrès Robert Schuman in Metz on 25 April 2026 with Come-back, a staged fiction in which he projects himself into 2031, written off as a has‑been. In an attempt to regain control, he decides to write a new show. Problem: what do you say when the counter seems stuck and everything appears to have already been said? Barré turns that block into material, blending satire and self‑mockery, turning his gaze as much on himself as on the times.

Halfway between stand‑up and theatre, he deploys his dry wit, his sharp edges and a sense of timing that favors tension over comfort. Come-back incorporates visual effects and sound design that slide the narrative between backstage and stage, as if the making of the act itself became the heart of the piece. We find his obsessions and his black humor, but also an acknowledged vulnerability that lets doubt leak through and restarts the comic engine. Without a heroic posture or a tacked‑on message, Barré plays with expectations, dismantles his own tics and frames his return as an open construction site. In Metz, the exercise takes on a particular tone: an encounter where punchlines sit alongside silences and the stage once again becomes a living testing ground.
