With Atlas, their seventh album, La Maison Tellier returns to the folk-rock of its beginnings without forsaking the refinement gained over the years. Fifteen years on the road have honed a songwriting that sets scenes in a few verses: cinematic images, woody guitars, restrained harmonies, then electric scratches that pick the pace back up. Formed in Rouen in 2005, the band claims American influences but sings in French, at the crossroads of French chanson and rock, between well-worn textures and more contemporary sounds. The narratives move forward like a drive along a main road—low light and dust in the wind—alternating ballads and more urgent numbers, with a taste for contrasts that holds the whole together. La Maison Tellier will be at Bords 2 Scènes Vitry-le-François on March 21, 2026, an occasion to hear Atlas in a prominent place and to revisit the tracks that shaped their identity.
