Ousanousava

On May 5, 2026, Ousanousava takes over the Kursaal in Besançon. Born in the 1980s on La Réunion, the band forged its identity between maloya, séga and hybrid musical styles, releasing their self-titled debut album in 1989. Since then they have recorded fifteen albums, including Ça mon pays in 2021, and have performed on stages ranging from the island’s platforms to venues across mainland France, as well as in Madagascar, Mauritius and the Seychelles.

For this 2026 tour, Ousanousava dives back into its repertoire and revisits its various records, stringing together the songs that have shaped its history. On stage, an ensemble of eight musicians crafts a warm, percussive and melodic sound, driven by guitars, brass and voices that narrate today’s La Réunion. The energy remains rooted in tradition, while opening up to the crossovers and colours that define the group’s signature.
