Il a également écrit et produit pour le dixième album studio de Chris Brown, Breezy ( Wheels Fall Off avec Lil Durk et Capella Gray, et Need You Right Here avec Bryson Tiller). Between 2012 and 2013, Fridayy released a steady stream of music on SoundCloud. Although musically gifted, Fridayy quietly worked on his craft while pursuing a career in basketball, but an injury derailed his professional dreams and led him back to the path of full-time music.
