Her interpretation, at once precise and deeply felt, surprises as much as it moves. Each piece becomes a playground where technique and freedom continually dialogue.
Beyond the performance, a stage presence asserts itself: generous, captivating, sometimes playful, always sincere. Veronica Swift first came to international prominence in 2015 by winning second prize at the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz's International Vocal Competition. Since then, with her three preceding albums, she has established herself as one of the leading jazz vocalists of the early 21st century. Surrounded by a band of close-knit musicians, the American vocalist offers an unpredictable concert, in which standards and original compositions are rediscovered in a new light, between tradition and modernity.
