Les Négresses Vertes return to set their own signature blend vibrating, born in Paris at the end of the 1980s: acoustic rock, punk energy, realist chanson and Mediterranean scents. On stage, the collective keeps this taste for rhythm that snaps and refrains that stick, between brass, guitars and voices that tell as much as they drive. Spotted as early as Mlah, the hinge album of 1988, they quickly transcended the frame of the French alternative scene with tracks that became classics like Zobi la mouche or Voilà l’été. After a long pause in the early 2000s, the reform sparked the machine back to life and reminded what makes them strong: direct, popular music, carried by a sense of collectivity and a real live tension.
