Bongeziwe Mabandla will be performing in Paris, at Le Trabendo, on 14 November 2026. A South African singer-songwriter, he crafts an intimate Afro-folk where Xhosa traditions meet folk, soul, and subtle electronic textures. His music stays close to the voice, between choral harmonies, slow pulsations, and pared-down arrangements, with lyrics mainly in isiXhosa, sometimes in English, speaking of inner momentum, memory, and emotional trajectories.
On stage, he unfolds a repertoire built across his albums, from Umlilo to amaXesha, and revisits Ndingubani ('Who am I?'), an album imbued with the idea of departure, metamorphosis, and what is left behind to find oneself. A concert conceived as a tight and sensitive moment, where emotion rests as much on silences as on gentle crescendos.
