Madeline Johnston began her project Midwife in 2017 with a cathartic debut album, Like Author, Like Daughter, which she wrote and self-recorded in a DIY fashion. Since then, she has carved out her own path within the heavy scene under the moniker 'Heaven Metal,' including a recent solo album, No Depression In Heaven, released in 2024. On stage, she delivers emotionally charged music that she will perform for the second time in Paris at the Point Éphémère on November 8, 2026. Devin Shaffer is a musician based in New York. After releasing a series of EPs under the moniker Yarrow, she first drew attention with her debut LP In My Dreams I'm There (2021). On her latest album, Patience (2025), she crafts a minimalist folk record woven with piano, harp, and delicate percussion, further cementing her place in the new avant-garde folk scene.
