Born in Syracuse, Sicily, Marco Castello lands in Amsterdam for a concert on December 11, 2026 at Q-Factory. A multi-instrumentalist with a flexible writing approach, he moves between Italian song, light soul, jazz, discreet funk and rhythms with Brazilian and Mediterranean flavors. On stage, his pieces come to life in balance: clear melodies laid over a muted, velvety groove; precise yet never stiff arrangements; and a genuine care for acoustic textures.
Having emerged on the Italian independent scene in the late 2010s, Castello has outlined the contours of his universe with Contenta tu (2021), where the cantautorato heritage blends with an orchestrated pop, without overloading. Music that lets the songs breathe, with that Sicilian anchoring surfacing in the harmonies and the way of storytelling.
