Info
DIIV lands in Dublin for a show at Opium on June 27, 2027, bringing its Brooklyn-bred mix of indie rock, dream pop haze, shoegaze density and post-punk tension. Built around Zachary Cole Smith and now solidified with Andrew Bailey, Colin Caulfield and Ben Newman, the band has always played with contrast: guitars stacked in shimmering layers, melodies half-buried in reverb, then a rhythm section that keeps everything tight and forward-moving.
The set is likely to move across their different eras, from the more airy, melodic pull of Oshin to the heavier, rougher edge that took shape on Deceiver, without losing that signature blur of texture and bite. Their most recent chapter, Frog in Boiling Water, leans into a more direct tone, which tends to hit even harder live. Expect a performance that shifts between drifting atmospheres and sharper, louder turns, with the kind of momentum you feel in your chest rather than just hear.
