Info
On February 12, 2027, Malevolence hit Rock City in Nottingham with the kind of heavy set that sits right on the fault line between hardcore and metal. Coming out of Sheffield in the early 2010s, the band built its name the hard way: tight club shows, constant touring, and a sound driven by chunky, syncopated riffs and those mid-tempo grooves that nod to 90s American metal without losing the bite of UK hardcore. Expect harsh, mostly screamed vocals, cut with more melodic moments that open up the songs without softening the impact.
The set should pull from the band’s key releases, from the thrash-and-beatdown roots of Reign of Suffering (2013) through the more structured punch of Self Supremacy (2017), the melodic lean of The Other Side (2020), and the balance of aggression, catchy choruses and groove shaped on Malicious Intent (2022).
