Info
On 10 July 2027, Santana will come to SparkassenPark Mönchengladbach with the 'Planet Of Free Will Global Tour 2027'. The centerpiece is Carlos Santana and this unmistakable sound, which since the late 1960s has fused rock guitars with Afro-Latin rhythms, blues and jazz: a lot of percussion, long instrumental passages, room for improvisation.
Live, you can expect exactly this range: the early Latin-rock formula, as defined on 'Santana', 'Abraxas' and 'Santana III', as well as the looser fusion phase around 'Caravanserai' and the later, more direct rock- and Latin-moments. Santana was never merely a band in the classical sense, but rather a movable project around Carlos Santana as the constant—and it is precisely from this that the concert draws its energy: songs that can expand, and grooves that run through without settling down.
