Info
On May 26, 2027, Syd Matters stops by La Laiterie in Strasbourg to shed light on this intimate indie-folk project carried since 2003 by Jonathan Morali. Between indie folk, pop, and electronic touches, the project has developed around restrained writing, melodies that linger, and a warm voice that gives the songs a scent of memory. On stage, one finds this particular tension between acoustic fragility and more expansive crescendos, with hazy arrangements that leave room for silences as much as for choruses. It offers an opportunity to dive back into tracks that have become touchstones for many, such as Black & White Eyes, Obstacles, To All Of You, I Might Float, and to measure what Syd Matters has sown across its albums. After years of relative quiet and detours into composing for visual media, this concert promises a return to the heart of the repertoire: intimate, narrative music, meant to be listened to up close, but shared together.
