Info
On October 29 and 30, 2026, at La Seine Musicale (Boulogne-Billancourt), Anne Sila and Yvan Cassar reunite as a duo for a creation conceived as a conversation in two voices: hers and the piano’s. A singer and also a cellist, Anne Sila navigates naturally between French chanson, jazz, and subtler pop-inflected tones, carried by a solid technique and a presence that speaks directly to the heart. Facing her, Yvan Cassar, pianist, composer, and longtime arranger, is renowned for his gift of illuminating a melody and reshaping harmonies with the precision of a master goldsmith.
On the program, new pieces and tributes to the classics of French chanson, revisited in a piano-vocal version. Between interpretive finesse, classical inflections, jazz-inflected breaths, and a few improvised forays, the duo seeks balance: music that is demanding, but never rigid, where the voice can also rest on the cello to reveal other colors.
