Info
On 23 September 2027, André Rieu brings his Johann Strauss Orchestra to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro for an evening built around the kind of classical music that doesn’t ask you to be an expert to feel it. Violin in hand and baton at the ready, Rieu moves between soloist and conductor, shaping a programme that leans into Viennese waltz spirit while opening the door to lighter, melodic favourites.
Expect the orchestra to glide through Strauss-inspired arrangements alongside operetta extracts, film themes, popular songs and well-known classical pieces, all stitched together with that ballroom pulse and a strong sense of flow. Rieu’s shows are also about voices and shared moments: guest singers and choral colours regularly step in, and the music leaves room for real connection with the crowd, not just polite applause.
