Info
On May 9, 2027, Joanne Shaw Taylor lands at Birmingham Town Hall with her no-nonsense take on modern blues-rock: sharp riffs, big grooves, and a voice that can switch from grit to soul in a second. Spotted young by Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), she grew into an artist who’s as much about feel as flash, built on years of touring and a deep love of classic blues.
This show is a chance to hear a guitarist who plays like she means it, mixing raw energy with tight, song-first arrangements. With a decade-long discography behind her and Black & Gold (2025) pushing her sound toward touches of americana and a subtle 80s pop sheen, expect a set that moves between punchy blues-rock burners and more melodic, wide-open moments, always driven by that steady, infectious groove.
