Info
On November 23, 2026, Jesse Roper lands at L’Escogriffe in Montreal, with that nervy blues-rock and roots that cling to his fingertips. Based near Victoria, British Columbia, the guitarist and songwriter draws as much from 70s rock as from American road music: well-crafted blues riffs, a straight-ahead rock groove, and folk and soul detours when the voice needs room to breathe.
On stage, it's all about energy and dynamics: a repertoire designed for the live setting, alternating electric numbers with more contemplative passages, centered on guitar and voice, with the freedom to stretch the themes and drift into improvisation. From The Fortunes to Access to Infinity, Roper has crafted songs that take on a different dimension in concert, balancing tension, groove and spontaneity. Guest artists are announced to round out the lineup.
