Info
On November 19, 2026, Mamas Gun lands at the Ritz PDB in Montreal with their soul-pop, funk-inflected sound, propelled by the voice and writing of Andy Platts. Born in London in the mid-2000s, the band has refined over the course of their records a sound that blends a supple groove, direct melodies, and worked vocal harmonies, with a taste for warm arrangements inherited from 70s R&B and soul. From Routes to Riches to Cure the Jones, their trajectory traces a passage from sun-drenched funk to a more pared-back, song-centered approach, between ballads, mid-tempos, and edgier tracks. On stage, this material takes on another dimension: choruses that linger, a rhythm section that pushes just enough, and a pop-elegant sensibility that keeps the show moving from start to finish. CLEREL rounds out the bill by opening, kicking off the evening with an early live set before Mamas Gun's performance.
