Info
On May 18, 2027, The Wombats hit the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver to celebrate 20 years of A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation. Expect a set built around the album that first put their Liverpool trio on the map: tight, nervy indie-rock, punchy guitars, choruses that stick, and that wry take on relationships, anxiety and everyday contradictions. It’s also a chance to hear how those early songs connect with what came next, from the band’s more electronic turns to the danceable basslines and pop sheen they’ve developed across later records.
Joining them, The Lathums bring their northern English guitar-band energy to open the night. Formed in Wigan, they move between chiming indie anthems, taut builds and softer acoustic moments, with straightforward melodies made for a room like this. A sharp pairing for anyone into modern British indie that still leans on songs first and foremost.
