Info
On 24 November 2026, Anna Lapwood brings her organ-led universe to the OVO Hydro in Glasgow for a concert that plays with scale and contrast. Known for making the organ feel immediate and alive, she moves between sacred roots and a wider palette: classical repertoire, choral colours, orchestral transcriptions, and the kind of cinematic writing that turns a single theme into a full-body wave of sound. Her approach isn’t about museum vibes; it’s about letting the instrument breathe in the present, with punchy dynamics, long arcs, and that special blend of precision and atmosphere. Expect a set that can glide from intimate, luminous passages to big, room-filling moments, shaped by her experience as a choirmaster and performer across different stages. A night for anyone curious about how the organ can hit as hard as it can soothe.
