Info
On April 2, 2027, Absolem lands at La Machinerie - Bizarre, in Vénissieux, with this Francophone Belgian rap that places the emphasis first on the lyrics. Born in Liège and based between Brussels and the Walloon scene, he made a name for himself with tight writing, a deep voice, and a punchy diction, all carried by instrumentals that drift between contemporary boom bap and more current formats. On stage, one can expect a set built around placement and changes of cadence, with narratives rooted in daily life, between social observation and self-deprecation. His work in the Bitume Caviar collective with producer Dee Eye illuminates this approach well, as does his shift toward more personal tracks without sacrificing technical effectiveness. Tracks like 'Champagne en canette' summarize this blend of ambition, quirkiness, and a lucid look back on his journey. An ideal date to gauge a dense but legible rap, where language always plays the leading role.
