Info
On 13 April 2027, Orbital land at Roadmender in Northampton for a night that puts their live legacy front and centre. Built around brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll, the Kent duo came out of the late-80s UK rave wave and never really left the dancefloor behind, even when their music stretches into ambient or more heady IDM territory.
Expect long-form tracks that actually breathe: techno pulse, breakbeat snap, melodic lines that slowly shift and lock together, the kind of writing designed to unfold rather than hit you with instant drops. From the early impact of “Chime” through the self-titled albums, the darker corners of Snivilisation and the widescreen feel of In Sides, Orbital’s catalogue is made for a room where you can both move and listen. Their recent chapters, including Optical Delusion and a taste for sharp vocal collaborations, keep that same narrative drive, now tuned for 2027.
