On June 16, 2027, Mike + The Mechanics bring their Back on Track Tour to the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic in Liverpool, with a set built around the band’s gift for tight songwriting and big, melodic choruses. Born in 1985 when Mike Rutherford stepped out during a Genesis break, the project quickly became a proper band, mixing polished pop-rock, soft-rock and a touch of soul, designed as much for the stage as for the studio.
Expect the classics that shaped their late-80s and 90s run, from “Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)” and “All I Need Is a Miracle” to the emotional weight of “The Living Years”, alongside deeper cuts that show how their sound balances adult contemporary sheen with real band dynamics.
