Info
Ayra Starr brings her Starrgirl World Tour to Toronto on March 29, 2027, at History, with the kind of afropop that slips easily between contemporary R&B, Afrobeats and the alté edge of Lagos. Since breaking out with her 2021 EP and the album 19 & Dangerous, she’s been building songs around tight melodic hooks and a flexible voice, switching naturally between English, Nigerian pidgin and Yoruba.
This show is a chance to hear the different sides of her catalog in one run: relationship stories, coming-of-age nerves, and that self-assertion thread that runs through her writing. From the wider reach of “Rush” to the more introspective tones of The Year I Turned 21, Ayra Starr’s set is expected to move between club-ready momentum and calmer R&B moments, while keeping the afropop backbone that made her stand out in the first place.
