Info
Born in the mind of Mila Necchella, Sororo Club is a Marseille-based initiative dedicated to training, supporting, strengthening, and uniting FLINTA artists in the electronic music scene. At Unité.22, we back its foundational work, with this date crystallizing around a marquee guest, Mia Koden.
Of South Sudanese and British origin, Mia has stood out early in her career within the duo Sicaria Sound alongside Lou Nour. A fan of sound-system culture, roots reggae, drum and bass, and dubstep, and influenced by the music of the countries where she grew up, such as Ghana and Nigeria, she is among the UK DJs to watch this year.
Réjane, an artist supported by the Quatre Mains program initiated by Sororo Club, A.M.I and Bi:pole and mentored by resident DJ Yenkov, will come to champion the colors of her collective Awebo, for a set of tribal percussion and deep bass with some trance detours.
Finally, Mila Necchella, an artist already accustomed to the adventurous stages of Unité.22, will close this lineup with her blend of rave and bass music sounds, driven by her desire for musical exploration and bridges between cultures.
Mia Koden, alias Sancha Ndeko (she), is a South Sudanese-British music producer and DJ based in South London. She first grew up in Ghana and Nigeria, nourished by her parents' music from across the African continent and beyond. During her formative years in the United Kingdom, she often visited venues where one could hear roots reggae, drum and bass, and dubstep. While studying at the University of London, two rusty Technics 1210 turntables arrived. Since then, Ndeko has been creating and promoting underground electronic music while building an arsenal of records spanning many corners of the world's soundscape.
Mila Necchella defends an engaged and boundary-crossing vision of electronic music. A DJ and producer, she develops a hybrid club approach at the crossroads of bass music, breaks, techno, g-tech, and Latin club sounds. Her sets play with contrasts, weaving syncopated grooves, incisive basslines, and sharp rhythms.
In parallel, she develops a production practice that allows her to build a distinctive sonic signature, already realized through two releases on the Bad Tips and Minuit Rapide labels, and nourished by her performances in clubs and festivals, engaging directly with audiences. With Sororo Club, the association she founded, she supports FLINTA artists in their professional development, affirming a creativity inseparable from her values.
Rejane is a DJ whose selections range between organic grooves, percussive rhythms, and hypnotic textures. Nourished by her Franco-Spanish bicultural background, she crafts sets where Mediterranean influences meet deep bass, soulful warmth, and trance detours, all carried by a club energy. She first rose on the Marseille scene before developing her career between Paris and Bordeaux, with appearances at La Rotonde, Le Point Éphémère and L'Iboat.
In 2024, she began an international tour in Central America. She performs in Mexico and Guatemala, on radio waves as well as at festivals. Driven by the desire to create spaces for encounters as much as musical experiences, she co-founded Awebo, a collective exploring hybrid sounds, blending trip-hop, dub, break and bass music. This year, she signs her first release in co-production with Yenkov on the Marseille label Sororo Club. At the crossroads of their universes, the track fuses techno-trance and organic bass energy into a progressive and immersive journey.
