Info
Friendly Fires return to the stage for an album launch show on 16 January 2027 at Jacaranda Baltic in Liverpool, built around their new record Dig Deeper. Expect the St Albans trio to lean into the sweet spot they’ve always owned: tight, dance-driven indie that borrows as much from club music as it does from guitar bands. Ed Macfarlane’s elastic vocals sit over sharp basslines, shimmering riffs and electronic textures that keep the momentum moving, switching from punchy, rhythm-first moments to more sunlit pop hooks.
With a catalogue that runs from their early indietronica and dance-punk rush through the brighter, tropical-tinged turns of Pala and the later return of Inflorescent, this show promises a set where new tracks can rub shoulders with the classics, keeping the live-band energy front and centre while the synths and grooves do the heavy lifting.
